Founded in February 2006, this unique facility, managed by Exemplas on behalf of the University of Hertfordshire has been developed with funding from the East of England Development Agency (EEDA). BioPark is now a thriving scientific community of biopharmaceutical, contract research, medical technology and other biomedical businesses together with specialist service providers, forming a key element of the 'South Hertfordshire BioCluster'.

We are delighted these facilities are to be used to further advances in the field of life sciences.

John Melville, Managing Director Roche in the UK

BioPark ensures that strong links are developed between regional universities, research institutes and the private sector and assists in developing high skill levels to support the local knowledge economy.

The 6,000 sq m of rentable space is ideally suited for business expansion and includes chemistry and biology labs, Containment Level 3 (Cat3) labs, offices and conference facilities.

As a result of the success that BioPark has achieved, an extension has been constructed and is now open. There are a number of 45 sq m lab modules, some fitted-out, together with 45 sq m, 90 sq m and 180 sq m labs that are empty and can be customised to the needs of an incoming tenant.

Our 'lab hotel' concept provides for short-term hire of a section of bench together with instruments and consumables from our stock.

BioPark is managed by Exemplas and overseen by an Advisory Group of local and regional partners.

Our vision is to provide an ideal environment for innovative companies to grow and prosper.
